Will Sheldon's artistic practice is characterized by its synthesis of pop culture and art historical references, populated by spectral figures in dreamlike landscapes. During a month-long residency in Umbria, working from a studio in Spoleto, Sheldon explored his fascination with Nicolas Poussin's Italian journey. He conducted research into the region's natural environment, ecclesiastical architecture, and masterworks of earlier periods. This intensive period of study informed his latest exhibition at Heidi gallery in Berlin.
